Giuseppe Galliano 100% Chardonnay Brut Sparkling Wine

Grape: Chardonnay 100%

The chardonnay grape, gathered from the Crevoglio and Pian Muciot vineyards, gives origin to a sparkling wine with a refermentation in autoclave (Martinotti Method). After the grape harvest, which is normally done in the middle of September, we obtain, with a fermentation with a controlled temperature, the wine base.  The wine base is then sugared and added of yeasts for the refermentation (Second Fermentation) since the first days of the year which follows the vintage. This important and crucial phase will continue for 15 days at a temperature fluctuating between 17° and 18°C; later on the product, which is now sparkling wine, remains still in the autoclave to mellow on the fermentation lees. After a period of around 6 months, the wine is ready to be bottled. The Chardonnay Brut remains for another 30 days in the bottle for a better maturation and refinement before release to the market.

The visual aspect shows a creamy wine with fine foam and persistent effervescence; its bright straw yellow color gives anticipation to a marked and delicate aroma, and an intense, deep and harmonious taste. It is without doubts a brut with its own character and a winning nature which doesn't lose the noble and generous personality of its original vine.

Served at a temperature of 10°-12°C it is excellent as an aperitif, with fish or preferably fresh cheeses. Try with a warm hors-d'oeuvremade of vegetables and puff pastry.

Effective alcoholic content 13% vol. Total acidity 6,5 gr/l.

This sparkling wine at 20°C has 4,5 bar
