Capo di Stato
This wine was created in honor of the French President Charles De Gaulle who, after he had tasted it in Venice, immediately became one of its principal fans. It is the result of a severe selection of the grapes grown in the oldest and sunniest vineyard of the estate, “The 100 plants”, and in the equally historical vineyard called “Falconera”. This wine is made according to the Bordeaux method and it represents one of the most important Italian wines in the world. During the time it won many Italian and international awards and obtained a lot of recognition. Sexy juice, with deep and ruby coloured, Capo di Stato is very elegant and complex. The nose has intense aromas of deeply ripe fruits such as blackberry and black currant, toasted hazelnuts and dried petals of roses - all blended together with very particular hints of dewy musk and tempting sweet spices. Full-bodied, chewy, with layers of well-integrated and polished massive tannins, this wine shows a silky texture on the very long finish with a little, soft touch of liquorices.
